Took my new Bushy build to the range to dope in the aimpoint. I was by myself, it was sunny out and 60 degrees. Set up my targets and started.
Got the aimpoint set and was punching paper. Round after round hitting where I wanted them to. All the parts moving together flawlessly.
Range Zen. Mushin for the soul.
Just wanted to share. Sometimes its the little things.....

I have a haiku for such times...

faint ringing of steel
echoes in the morning air
the sound of freedom

Range zen.  I like it.

There is nothing more Zen for me than being the only one on the range and breaking the silence with one well thought out trigger press and hearing the "plink!"

It is my medicine.

Yes, Range Zen is a great feeling to experience.  It is almost as if all of the cares you have in the world is compressed into the chamber of your firearm and then sent hurtling at supersonic speeds to a place far from you.  I almost always feel more at ease and calmer when driving away from a good day at the range.
