Does anybody else sit up at night thinking about what their next AR build is going to be?

For some reason I've decided that I really want a 14.5" M4 with a A1 carry handle.  Now I've gone and ordered a BCM 14.5" M4 to replace my 16" PSA M4 and it looks like the PSA is going to get gutted for the build.

How do you make this BRD stop?  I have absolutely no need for more rifles.  My safe is full and I'm having to take guns to my cabin to make room.  Hahaha!  Oh Well.

It doesn't keep me up at night, but I think about it more often than I probably should.

You make it stop by getting off this forum and others like it that are full of enablers egging you on.

Seriously, if I get off this site for a year and just enjoy the rifles I have my wallet loves me.  I get on just recently to see what's happening in the AR world and I'm buying mags I don't need and find out B5 who I never heard of now makes SOPMOD stocks for $95. And Vltor and Noveske are coming out with some new rail that's supposed to be the shit called key mod system and on and on and on.

Helll I just bought 10 more mags today.  Brownells mags with mag pul followers for $9.50 ea.  I don't need them. I've got damn near 200 AR mags in wrap just sitting in boxes on a shelf in the basement but I always convince myself they will never be cheaper and more readily available than now so I buy, buy, buy.  Crazy right.....  Hell I buy BCG and LPK just in case I might need them at some point.  After all, I have to have parts for the dozen stripped lowers sitting in the safe I have bought over the last 6 or mor years.  I've got 7 complete and shootable AR's in the safe.  I need to build another rifle like I need a hole in the head.

These seem like the right answers..... Hahaha.

I think I like building the guns as much as shooting them.  I stopped working on cars for a living and just need something to tinker with now that I'm a desk jockey.  Oh well.... Wife is going to strangle me one of these days luckily she's pretty forgiving.

I also have a son on the way.  Due in April.  We're planning on naming him Colton.  Colt for short.... Am I going to be OK?

I tried getting off this site for almost a year. My other hobby is knives. I went over to bladeforums and that didn't help my wallet. Now I'm back here again.

I have a spare lower in my safe right now and I know what
direction I want to go with it but it is way down the road
to completion. I do not stay up thinking about it... too many
other things in life that I like to do.

Quit buying guns and start buying ammo .That will cure the BRD.

It's the internet.

You see other people's builds, you see other people's stuff, you see new products on the market, and you really, really, really want to build or buy your own.

Then you drop the cash, and realize what you got you might not even like. Or you realize you never shoot this new gun you built, because you like the other one much better.

I face this problem myself often. I get an itch to build a new gun, build it, and then hardly ever shoot it. Right now I have a M16A4 clone I hardly ever shoot, but I really want to build ANOTHER M16A2.... that will probably never even be shot either.

I have a SOCOM BLOCK II clone build right now, that I shoot the most, but I am in the works of getting its lower SBR'd so I can put a MK18 upper on it...

Nope.  I have a Google Docs spreadsheet with all of the parts for my next four builds listed.
