| I am looking for a tablet, preferably 7 in. It would be for everyone to use. The main use will be Internet surfing. I have a pc at home and everyone has an I phone so I am not looking for something high end like an IPad. There are quite a few off brand tablets that cost between $100 -$150 at newegg.com. Any recommendations. I would rather not have one than get a POS that runs slower than grandmaw. |
| If everyone already has an iPhone I would spend a few minutes and look at what you already use for apps and what they cost. If you buy an iPad you can tie it to the same account as the phones and only pay for the app once. If you run Android on your tablet you have to buy everything again. |

I've never paid for an app on my Android phone or tablet. |

It would be just for web surfing. I don't need an account. It would be kept in the house and strictly use WiFi. |

I have an HP touchpad that is running one of the newer versions of android. It's probably worth about $150. I am thinking of dumping now that I have the Nexus but as I said earlier, I think it's worth putting in a few more bucks and getting the nexus.
I don't spend a lot of time thinking about the Kindle fire, but that would be in your budget and worth considering. |

Just a fun one for you, there is some software out there (the name escapes me at the moment) that will allow you to take full remote control of a PC from an android tablet. It's pretty cool stuff and I've frequently used it to grab stuff off my home network while away on buisiness. |

I just got a Lenovo IdeaPad A2109. It is a 9" screen so may be a little bigger than what you want, but it runs the Android system (much better than Apple & Windows 8 imho). I love it, have had 0 problems with it and is at a good price. My desktop tech here has one of those and absolutely loves it. He uses it pretty extensively. |
