Is what we are watching. Instead of 1 hour a week, it is on 24 hours a day on dozens of channels. All the lines are scripted and tested. All the outcomes are predetermined. The teams take turns winning so everyone can keep rooting for their favorite. People get voted off, new people get voted on, the games never change. The pundits do their parts interviewing and speculating about the contestants. The team leaders pull the strings as we watch in horror. And the game goes on... Thoughts? |
