Just got back from Orlando, FL. Man, Am I glad to get home. Walking around without my G23 is just plain weird, but it is safe over where we were going. Thanks for the report tc6969, you are a cool guy to know. TRG: didn't get your message, please e-mail or IM me. Anyway, we went and ended up stay in Orlando for 7 fricking days. The children wanted it that way, so I said what the hell. We had great time. We bought a $89 something ticket which can be used for 5 consecutive days: a cheapest way anyway you look at it. With the suggestions of the members here, we stayed at Universal Orlando hotel for 3 days. We, therefore, got the pass (the room key) to go directly to the rides, so the longest for us was about 15 min. A damn great idea, because this made the trip more enjoyable and less tiring. We also stay at Disney Resort for 4 days, and spent 3 days in Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and MGM. We got connections so the ticket costs us $30 each, and we can hop to the other theme parks. Disney has a slightly different system on the pass. You just insert your ticket into one of the machine, and it will give you an entrance time, so you don't have to line up. During this time you can do something else such as, seeing other attractions, rest, lunch, etc... Last day we drove to Kennedy Space Center, and spent about 6 hrs there. Definitely, a great learning experience. One thing strikes me at KSC: a security guard with a HK MP5. That is something unexpected from me, but understandable. Talked with him a little, and invite him to check out this site. Impressions about the trip: 1. Fun, good learning experience, but tiring as hell. 2. Costly, the food are expensive in the theme parks, and that's to be expected. But I think we budgeted fairly well. 3. Brothers-in-arms in FL are cool, especially tc6969 and White_Horse. |
