I downloaded Firefox 'cuz I was tired of fighting Chrome for YouTube vids.

There is a google search bar on firefox.  Can I ditch that anbd still search with firefox only?

If so, how do I ditch it?  (I still want to use google in other applications, just not have it to do anything with the firefox or youtube...)

Thanks

That search bar is part of FF so no you can't remove it.
It has nothing to do with anything else.  DL the Adblock plus add on.

You can set that search box to use just about any engine; it doesn't have to be google.

ETA: My setup. The address bar doubles as the search bar, which I have set to use Bing.

Download the all-in-one address bar for firefox.  Set your search engine default.  Fixed.  Looks like chrome, but isn't.
