Another thread led me to democraticunderground.com. I am absolutely blown away by these people. I knew that librals tended to be naive, at least to my way of thinking, but God, I never imagined such hate filled vitrol. I know that I'm making generalizations about a large group of people based on the words of a few, but it's interesting that they charicterize themselves as "libral" and us 'conservatives' as hate mongers, all the while spewing such mean hateful crap. Astounding. Check these clowns out.

Yes, we are more than well aware of them. Nothing new here. They can be just as hate-filled as anyone on our side of the fence, but you won't find LE or Hate-monitoring orgs spying on them - after all they have no guns, so what could they do with their hate? HAHA

Personally, I dislike Charlton Heston for his presidency of an intolerant organization (in fact, I booed him when his picture came up during a taping of Late Night w/ Conan O'Brien - the only one in the audience to do so).

The NRA is "intolerant" of the gun-grabbers. What a surprise! And such liberal-speak: "intolerant." *LOL*

Guy also wants you know that he booed a picture on a monitor... what a wimpy liberal. Heck, that's all of them! AHAHAHA

He May Have Marched With Dr. King in 1963 ......
.... but his actions with, by, and for the NRA cancel that out in my book. Especially when he spoke in favor of guns at a Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) dinner honoring Dr. King, who died from an assassin's bullet.

We are hate mongers.  Didn't you get the memo?

Look at how we respond to every social problem, it's not very compassionate.  Example:  serial rapist on the loose in your area.  Our response: bickering about whether women should carry a .357 or a .45.  The thought of not killing the guy doesn't even cross our minds.  Sure, the "peaceniks" among us will say they're concerned with the safety of the woman, the victim.  But down deep, they want a bullet in that guys head as much as any of us savages.

There are people out there who don't agree with us.  They accept that victims are just the necessary price to pay for meaningful statistics.  They're concerned with helping those who have lost their way.  It's more important to save a lost soul than to protect an innocent one.  The innocents are already saved, there's no need to help them.  Someone who would rape someone and beat them to death with their bare hands - now there's a solid candidate for salvation.

A wise man once said "there are two types of people in the world - war-mongering baby-killers, and targets."  If you don't know which group you fall into, someone with their finger on the trigger does.

They're right.  We are a bunch of hate mongers.  We'd rejoice in seeing all sorts of people who harm society killed.  Of course, they're trying to destroy society itself, but that's not the point they want people to notice.

Check out this exchange (the thread is about Charlton Heston announcing he has Alzheimer's, and receiving very little sympathy about it:

AngryWhiteDemocrat (1414 posts)

133. Maybe In 1963, he may have known compassion.
But ever since then, he's slid down a slope towards being a wingnut who would rather see children die than have background checks on weapons.

bogey780 (32 posts)
137. Stats?
How many children are killed by not performing background checks?

AngryWhiteDemocrat (1414 posts)

Reply to post #137
142. One is too many
I can give you stats....but if one child dies from a gun in the wrong hands, isn't that enough?

bogey780 (32 posts)
Reply to post #142
144. Okay......
But I asked for stats on kids who were killed by failure to do background checks. Not kids who are killed because of guns.

147. Isn't one enough???
Are you contending that no children have ever died from a gun that should not have been sold to it's owner??
Because unless you are willing to make that statement, stop arguing...one child is too many to die.

bogey780 (32 posts)
Reply to post #147
151. What I'm arguing
Has any child ever been involved in a homicide when a background check should have been performed.
In other words. How many guns that are legally purchased each year are used with specific intent to murder a child?

You do understand the inherit flaw in the "One is too much" argument. It's really a non-issue. It'd be akin to me saying to you,"Is it better to invade China before or after they detonate a nuclear bomb on American soil." The premise that it's bad is already agreed. The ending that this is what must be done is flawed.

Please, I don't want it known that I support the NRA or else I'll get banned.

152. Yawn
More avoiding the topic and evading the question.
Answer it....is ONE CHILD too many to die from a gun that should have never been sold?

And I never said "intent to murder a child"...accidental deaths still involve a dead child, you know.

By the way, since you're so intent on defending the NRA, how's Columbine for you? 15 deaths that came from guns bought with the sole purpose of murdering minors.

Unbelievable.

Yes. Their "karma" argument does not follow. So basically, if you support gun rights, you deserve to get Alzheimers? Does this apply to all conservatives or just the famous ones? Would this include all their coworkers and family members that believe the same way? Sounds kind of sick

Simple rule, these wapsticks do not represent the bulk of Dems.  Most are pretty middle of the road, as are most republicans.  I have however noticed that their venom seems to be far more hateful than that I see from the conservative side of the fence.  I have a basic simple rule.  I leave them alone, they leave me alone, and I vote my beliefs and trust them to do the same.  These folks are so set in their beliefs that an act of God would not change their minds.

These people are pretty well know by most of the AR15 crowd.  Most of us have attempted to post replies at one time or another.  We have all been kicked off because we were "disrupters".

I managed to post about 24 times before they kicked me off.  I pretended I was one of them for awhile but they saw through me.

Just forget them.  They are a bunch of assholes.  Nothing you can say over the Internet will ever change their minds.  Let them wallow in their pig sty.

The stuff in my septic tank doesn't vote. It doesn't work as a teacher in my kid's school. It doesn't work as an "advocate", trying to get the poor, downtrodden souls in our society a piece of my paycheck. I know deep in my heart we will get the the last laugh on these jerk offs ,but at what cost to our freedom?
How many unarmed people will die because they think they have the right to decide if we can protect ourselves.
How many of them will die out of ignorance?
The sheep will never turn on the wolf ,it would rather become the meal then defend it self.

Having spent (way too much) time over there, I can honestly say that not all of them are that bad.  There's at least 10% who I'd consider "OK".  Of course, they're probably not really liberals, either.

I've chased most of the worst ones out of the "gun dungeon" - the "Justice/Public Safety" forum - but I've got another live one to play with.

Being from Canada I know a liberal when I smell one, but those are some scary fucks over there at du.  I hope they make up a minute percentage of the populous in the U.S.

I have never heard such crap, these people sound more like commie/anarchists than liberals.  I would equate their thinking methods more along the lines of the white power/racist crowd=Fascist type of thinking. Funny thing is how they call themselves "democrat", there does not seem to be anything democratic or freedom loving about them. It is always the same thing with them; guns bad, abortion good! Get over it already! Where do they learn this B.S.? College/University?

And did they not learn how great Ronald Reagan was, Reagan (with the help of American tax payers) and the Pope defeated communism single handedly, but I guess that is too much reality for these POS to handle, their brains may explode, we could only be so lucky!

YEP!  College is where a young person really first learns how to think.  Liberals know that.
