I'm sure a dupe, but not with my personal cliff notes opinion so here goes...
1. It isn't necessarily an anti-Obama film... many US liberals, Europeans, 3rd world nations will agree with the film's portrayal of Obama, and believe he's correct. 2. Obama isn't an American liberal. Digging into his past, he's rooted in anti-colonialism. (i.e. he doesn't believe any nation should build wealth, nor take advantage of other nations resources, even if they have no means to use them themselves). This is why he sent Churchill's bust back to the U.K. His father and Kenya had a large disdain for Britain due to colonialism. 3. His view isn't a strong America, and it isn't just robbing from rich and giving to poor in the U.S., rather he wants to level the playing field globally as evidence by: -Reducing oil production here, but giving the means to other countries to fund their own oil drilling. -Reducing U.S. nuclear arms, but not necessarily requiring anyone else do so -Supporting Argentina in the Falklands dispute for which Dems have previously supported the UK -Telling Medvedev that he'll have more flexibility after re-election (indicating he wants to further weaken the American position in defense) -Spending with no regard for the national deficit, as strong financial stability in America doesn't matter as he sees us as living high on the hog anyway I'm not trying to be an alarmist, but what's in the film matches news stories I've read, explains Obama's actions, and I do believe the 2nd term will show us more on Obama's true views. Now I'm just figuring out how to cut my family's spending so we can ride out another 4 slow years. |
I watched it a couple of weeks ago and was largely unimpressed. ![]() Maybe I've just spent too much time here and/or listening to Beck/Hannity/etc., but there was little to nothing in there than I hadn't read or heard somewhere else before. (Still some scary stuff, of course.) YMMV. |
