I'm sorry but people that are surprised that people are making fun of Heston, keep in mind we do the same thing (well I don't) to Reno and Brady. Yeah its sick, but let them have their fun, although...this would make them appear to be hypocritical once more of being kind and gentle...

That certainly explains why that man has made the statements he has made - he must be regressing to his liberal anti-gun Kennedy years, probably not even remembering that he is president of the NRA. No more NRA money until that man is ejected from the NRA presidency.

Heston is truly one of the great actors of the 20th century. He was in one of my all-time favorite westerns, "The Big Country." He is also a great man. My best wishes to him and his family.

Good point Sweep. The reaction of delight in an enemy's sufferring is not mature, but it's a fact of life. The interesting thing about DU is how quickly they suppress those with differing viewpoints. CTID was clearly not one of them, but was making valid, coherent points. He had to go for not toeing the party line. I don't see that kind of stuff happening here. Some people are labeled as trolls, and many rightfully so, but does anyone get kicked off for expressing a contrary opinion in an articulate manner? I certainly hope not. Freedom means acknowledging your enemy has the same rights as you.
