Last Saturday...I got up early and did some clean-up work at a property I'm preparing to sell..then came home and got prepared to fuck-off the rest of the day.
Anyhow...while walking out to my man-cave to tinker on some guns and gun parts I had bought recently...a big shadow covered me!..I looked up and the biggest bird I had seen in a long time was flying overhead...and sort of giving me and my dag the stink-eye!! The huge bird stayed around my property for quite a while...lazily flying around a bit...perching in my bigger trees...watching all the dove and pigeons flitting around my shop eating grain off the ground from cleaning out combines...then the big bird set on top a power-pole at the end of my property... This large bird was a young bald eagle! Now I will say I've seen American bald eagles around before...and it's probably not really a rare species to see in Oklahoma. However I have not seen one or heard anybody mention seeing one in many years. My first thoughts were that seeing an eagle(and not losing a dag) is a good omen. What say ye of arf.com...is a American bald eagle that hangs out on your property and doesn't eat any family pets a good sign for the future?? |

LOL, I killed about a dozen rabbits yesterday, and tossed the entrails, etc, in a field out behind the barn.
Couple eagles were on it in minutes. UNTIL the black headed vultures ran them off! Now, THAT is a bad omen!
FWIW, tons of eagles around here. Dumped some hog guts there a while back and had 8 eagles on it in a matter of 10 minutes! |
