What would be a fair price for a 5 gal bucket filled with once fired XM193 5.56 brass?

Oh fun! A guess the number of jelly beans in the jar game!!!

I'd put a 5 gal bucket full at over 10k pieces of brass... price accordingly.

Knowing the cheap skates here you're better off selling it for scrap.

A 5 gallon bucket holds right at 1000 pieces of .308 brass, so I'm gonna guess 2500 to 3000 pieces of 5.56mm.

That would be more like it based on my range time. I was going to see what the vultures on Craigslist would be willing to pay.

Way more than that.  I can fit more than 1k of spent 5.56 in a .50 cal can.

This is close to correct. I just loaded up a bunch of ammo from a 5 gallon bucket of 223 brass and, while I didn't count, I'd say there was close to 5000 pieces in there.

That will work. Thanks.

Assuming that there is 4000-5000 in the bucket, what would someone pay for that?

$50/k shipped is a good deal. I would split it into 1k piece lots and throw it into USPS flat rate boxes.

Yup.

I got a five gallon bucket of mostly 223. It also had about 500 pcs of 38 Special, 9mm, and 40SW. I counted right at 5000 of 223.

Thanks, I am going to count them out and split them into 1k lots to sell.

I have two blue 5 gallon soap buckets for primed 223 in my shed they hold just at 3000 each.

p.s. hear in Oregon you will get about $80.00 in scrap.
