seasons 1 and 2 were great. the characters, the settings, etc., all great. then came season 3. something was off and the feel of the show changed: the street scenes were weird. the streets seemed sterile and bland. the street lights weren't the ones used in NYC anymore (i lived there for a long ass time). they keep using the exact same hot dog cart, taxi and no parking sign in every episode in the back ground in what are supposed to be different parts of the city the extras changed too. now there were lots of pretty boy side characters that all looked the same and that are very 'suburban' looking. lots of fake NY/Jersey accents now too, where before there were real ones. dialog was off too. calling NYU, 'UNY', and no one in NYC calls 6th Ave "Avenue of the Americas" except maybe on tour buses the wardrobe changed too. the guys were all dressed the same and looked like they came out of a J Crew or Banana Republic catalog then the clincher...lots of actors that had been in Battlestar Galactica/Caprica starting up. BAM that was it! Castle had been CANADIFIED!!! with season 3 they started filming in freakin Vancouver ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() now that i've noticed this i cant unnotice it and its driving me nuts! looks like i'll have to stay with White Collar for real NYC in a good cop show |

now that i've noticed this i cant unnotice it and its driving me nuts! looks like i'll have to stay with White Collar for real NYC in a good cop show You need to concentrate on other things, like when Kate is changing her shirt or skinny dipping. And the daughter is growing up nicely, too, sheesh. Still a good show. ByteTheBullet (-: |

And I'd bet NYC wanted to tax the production of Castle off the charts, so they said screw you and moved... |
