With the weather getting wet and heading for snow I need a comfy pair of house shoes or slippers for when I leave my outside footwear at the door.
Everything I've seen at dept stores feels like cheap trash.

Any recommendations?

I like my crocs for house shoes.  Not insanely hot like some fur and flannel lined thing, soft and cushy for long afternoons in the kitchen making stew, easy on/off.  No fashion contest winners but they do what house shoes should do.

all slippers suck

the name alone is gay.....slippers  you practically HAVE to lisp to say it right.  If you say slippers three times fast, richard simmons cornholes you with a the narrow end of a toilet plunger

Don't be gay, get a set of boots/sneakers for indoors only.

Reef makes some pretty good quality "flip-flop" style sandals.

Same with Teva.

Birkenstocks are very comfortable.

Sorel's makes some that are moccasin-style, good if you're living in a log cabin I guess.

Or you could get some Crocs.  However, some pairs can kinda smell weird, a little like trailer park.

Me?  what I wear around the house.

Slippers are supposed to slip.  They wouldn't be called "slippers" if they didn't.

I wear my old, beat up comfy crocs inside.  If my feet get too cold, il'll wear socks with them.

I've had a couple pair of Old Friend slippers, lambs wool lined sorta mocassins, I think.  I got 'em at Sportsmans Warehouse.  Very comfy and warm in cold weather.

I like LL Bean flannel lined moccasins with a crepe sole.

Warm enough in a cool basement.  They don't soak up water.  Suitable for getting an arm load of firewood from the garage or running to the mailbox in thin snow.

I wear them about half the time, the other half is usually a simple pair of tennis shoes.

Wearing a pair right now

I might go back for a pair of those after I see how the Duluth ones work out. They look ridiculously comfortable.
