The nice thing about a hotmail account is it can only block 150 emails. And given the amount of hotmail spam they are kinda easy to fill up and no more emails can be recieved.

Pretty funny Steyr! I remember about 15 years ago someone had an add in the Wall Street Journal. All it said was send $10.00 to PO box something or other. It offered absolutely nothing. I always wondered how much this doink got. Probably plenty from other doinks!

PS: A doink is a "protrusion" out of an aircraft like an antenna or pitot tube. We in the aviation field have expanded the definition.

Okay, the girl was stupid and got herself $20k in the hole.  Fine and dandy.

She gets a good idea and puts up a page asking for money.  She gives nothing in return and states this.  People send her money.

GOOD FOR HER!  Personally, I'd call that "industrious."  She's not screwing her creditors by declaring bankrupcy, she's not going on welfare, she's not playing hide-and-seek with bill collectors.  

Hell, if I were in her shoes, I'd do the same damn thing!

If you don't like it, don't surf to her page and don't give her anything.  Unlike bankrupcy, welfare, or engaging in other acts of getting onto the public dole, NO ONE IS BEING FORCED TO HELP HER.  The only people getting screwed are those who are willing to screw themselves over for her sake.

Sheesh.....  I sense some major jealousy here.  You're right that $1,500 is [i]way[/i] more than some poeple make in a month; I figure she got the equivalent of $13.00 or so an hour (40 hours a week, 4 weeks a month) of work by spending half an hour drawing up a shoddily designed web site.

Is she a beggar?  YES.  Is she different than the bum in the street?  Not really; only that she's the first person to attempt this and get press AND she probably looks a lot better.

More power to her!  If she can con a few hundred or thousand people into giving her cash to do NOTHING, good for her!  

As for the fools giving her said money...  All I've got to say is that the average internet user's IQ has fallen since I first got online back in 1994.
