A friend of mine did this to his car on tuesday. I waited until I knew he'd be ok to post it, he almost wasn't. I don't know any of the details about what caused it, but he's one hell of a driver and responsible enough that he wasn't texting, and he doesn't drink so he wasn't dui. Very good guy. My first car was a 1972 914 That I got for $500 and I always joked with him that I was going to steal this one from him. |

Yikes. My wife sold her 1983 944 to a young fellow in our neighborhood. He was later rear-ended by a driver going too fast on the interstate. He walked away from it but the car was totalled. 944s are built pretty darn tough for their size. It looks like that 914 held up pretty well, too, all things considered. |

That hurts... funny thing is i'm in the market for an old 914 How much are you looking to spend? I know of one that's track prep'd and road legal. Has a very healthy six installed. I've driven it and if I had the cash it would be in my garage. OP- Glad to hear your buddy is OK. That looks like it was one hell of a hit. |
