Friends,

I recently purchased a new AR-15. I nabbed up a WW-15 (SRC model). I have topped it with an Aimpoint PRO.

Here are some pics:

Sadly, I haven't gotten to shoot this girl yet. I will get there soon.

Is there some kind of cult related with Windham?  Or do you get some kind of discount if you agree to post about it in weird ways?

Serious question.

They are in serious need of a new corporate identity. They may have a good product, but poor graphic design will lead to their ruin.

Well, there were many people that loved the *old* Bushmaster (before they were bought out) and Windham Weaponry are the original Bushmaster employees before the new owners moved the manufacturing to another state.

Many people feel that Bushmaster's quality was much better before they were bought out and many people loved (or swore by) their rifles.

I have a Bushmaster prior to their buy out and i've never had problems with it. So I do think the quality was better then (and would also think Windham Weaponry's quality is like the Bushmaster of old).

I get that, but every post I see about them just has an odd "stilt" to it.  Like this one.  Who starts off a post with "Friends,"?  It's not just here on ARFcom either.  It's all over the place.  The phrasing and stuff strikes me weird.  It's almost like the scam emails I get, the language and phrasing is just different.

I felt friends was more appropriate than other terms that often come to mind. Besides, there's a lot of good folks here.

Just sharing a picture of an AR15 on a website devoted to firearms. I wasn't looking for tech advice or offering a review. Simply sharing an experience.

Good looking rifle!

I will refrain from my usual criticism of their rollmark.

I really wish they would have moved away from their Shrub roots and gone with a 1/7 barrel instead of a fuddy 1/9...

And IIRC they use commercial tubes

Still a decent gun for the money.

they posted today that they have a bunch of 1/7 barrels.

Personally i don't care but anyway they have them

has anyone seen a commercial tube fail when a military one wouldn't've?

No, but I'm picky. Personal preference, and it just seems to me like a solution to a problem that never existed. Why the commercial tube? Why did you need to make it bigger and put a slanted back on it? Why not just stick with the milspec?

I've always assumed the commercial ones were cheaper to manufacture for some reason, but I have no idea if that's true.
