It's an article about Romney's tax rate under the Ryan plan. With capital gains hasn't he already payed taxes on those amounts.

Ryan PROPOSED eliminating capital gains tax in 2010.



The writer is basing his assumptions on a 2 year old proposal by a congressman running for VP
The truth is, if we eliminated capital gains tax, business would flourish, but the government would loose a serious chunk of revenue; revenue they have already spent despite not actually having collected it yet So, you can see why this would be a problem for most politicians...






The article is pure conjecture, there is nothing to "debunk".

I wonder how much the difference would be between the revenue from captital gains and the improved business revenues.
