This site and the people on it are why I'll always be broke and working until i'm 92.  Here's what's happened since I started visiting this place:

1. I realize that I do need an M16 and/or an UZI, but only kind of wanted one before I started coming here.

2. Mags-  I had 2 USGI's which I thought were plenty.  Now I have 10 and must keep going, I think 50 should be enough, maybe.

3. Must now have an M1 or M1A.  Never would have dreamed of buying one, but now I realize they're way cool and totally sweet.

4. The many other assorted guns added to my list because of ARFCOM.

5. 1 AR used to be enough, now I need an M4 as soon as I get the cash.

6. Everybody posts good ammo deals, STOP! You're costing me a fortune and my gun room now has the potential to scare small children and make liberals want to run crying back to Cali.

You're a sick man, Glock. The only cure is to drop ship all your stuff directly to me an get on with your life. It's the best thing. Really.

If anybody ever gives you the opportunity to fire a FAL, turn them down.

You'll find yourself "needing" one of those too!

Glock, you need help dude. Do it today. Send your burdens to me. If you can't do it for yourself, do it for the children.

Glock, are you out there? Dammit man, answer. It's for your own good.

Don't forget to shoot a HK MP5 full auto.
You might as well take out another morgage to get one.

Same thing happened to me.  I had my Colt Target HBAR for 6 years until I started shooting it. Then I needed a 16" upper, then an A2 upper, next will be a 45 upper and I'm sure a 458 socom will follow...and then there's that Ferret 50.....

Before the subliminal messages on this board took control of me I only had 1 AR15 (MT6551), a few deer rifles, some shot guns and a couple of pistols. Now I have 1 Bushmaster Shorty, 3 Varminters, 1 AR10, 1 M1A, 1 M1 Garand, 1 700 VS and 1 AR180B

NEWS FLASH..........

It is not just this board. For a long time I thought it would be neat to own "one of those guns that look like an M16". Then I discovered the gun boards.

My sickness started with with a Colt. I am now on my fourth AR. Then I had to have an AK. It wasn't to long after that and I found I "needed" a FAL. This year I started longing for a Ferret....yup it is now in the safe.

Lately I have started checking out posts about C&R licenses. God help me.........

First AR's.
Then M1a's, Garands , Fal's, 700 PSS's, Russian SKS's, AK's, tricked out 10/22's, neat scopes for all of them, then ammo, and bayonets, and NV stuff and Tannerite, and reloading stuff and on and on....

The horror, the horror.

Its a disease with no known cure. Its easy to catch and spreads like wildfire.

I will try and help cure anyone from this disease, but they have to be willing. Just send me all of your guns, ammo, scopes, money, gold, etc. I will glady make the sacrifice to save innocent victims...

(Don't let the anti-gunners find out about this "disease" or they will try to cure us. Many anti-gunners catch this disease, usually after they or a family member/close friend has been raped, robbed, or beaten...)

ROTFLMAO

We've been struck by the same disease, with no hope of remission.

BTW, what's ARFCOM?

Well about a month ago I never really gave a thought to buying a gun. Not that I was against them or for them, just never crossed my mind. then Qbang transferred to my office. I went and met some of you guys at Bullet Fest and the Mid-Mo shoot, got to shoot a few rifles. Now, for over the past few days I THINK I've narrowed down  my "needed" rifle list to 2 or 3 for starters..... Thanx Qbang, ya mac chuckin BFF.

Its happend to me too. Back in 1987 after 3 years in the army I had to have the black rifle and I put one together, then I found this site and now I want more like garands and AK,s when does it stop Im not wealthy so im in trouble.
Is there some kind of twelve step program for this.

Wow, I'm not the only one afflicted with the dreaded firearms plague.  I already had it, but this site has made it way worse.  Thanks alot guys, like I really need incentive to spend more money on guns and shoot stuff.

I wonder if you could sue the US Military for causing your sickness. They should at least continue to provide you with medicinal weapons, since there is no known cure. At least get a couple million dollars from them as well.

PS: I wonder if I could sue the Army since in ROTC we used firearms during an FTX exercise, and before that, I was not really into guns...

This and another board coerced me into buying a milling machine, dammit.  Next thing you know, I'm going to be forced to buy another safe.  [:(!]

Yeah, I know the feeling. Never owned a firearm before, just got a wild hair up my ass one day & bought a Colt Match HBAR. Then I found this damned place. Ever since then a little voice has been whispering in my head "preban M4.....preban M4....."

Do it - for the children (so to speak.)

AR's stored in warm, dark places (like a safe) tend to breed - making more AR's. At least that's how I es-splain it to my wife.

Within four months of coming here I had $2250 worth of preban Colt  and Olympic hardware. And now I'm getting an RRA. DAMN YOU ALL!!! [heavy]

And once you acquire a nice set of toys and remember that you can't take it with you, depression and anxiety sets in again.

Facts about me:

I have been buying guns for years.

I didn't own a computer until 2001.

To me ar15.com is the place to learn

what not to buy and where not to buy it.[:)]
