Ordered a set and they are labeled left and right....

Is left/right determined by looking at the front of the vehicle?   Or

Is left drivers side?   Is right pax side?

Left side is driver's side.

Right side is passenger.

Well, in South Carolina, where the OP is, I think it still applies.

If I was to look at you from the front, and indentify your right hand, and then walk around behind you and identify your right hand, would I have identified the same hand? You have one right side. A car has one right side. PERIOD. You have identified yourself as a MORON by asking such a question. Turn in your man card. And absolutely do not work on that car, especially on something safety related like steering components, if you don't know this.

Not in Britan or Japan or Australia.

But left and right are (ARE) determined by the way you sit in the drivers seat (i.e facing forward).

I posted in your other thread.

I do not think that is what they are refering to.
you don't say for what car.
usually it means left and right handed thread. since one of each goes on each side if the ends are the same.
for a rack and pinion car they are not, but regular gear box they are.
