| Hello all, I'm looking for a quality SHTF Go Bag that won't break the bank, and at the same time is comfortable. I'm thinking a 24 to 48 hour bag. Anything come to mind? |
|
This this and this! I have one, and it's a fantastic pack. I use it daily, and love mine. It has a integrated semi-frame, and plenty of space. I found it to be very high quality. I keep a "normal" looking bag as my SHTF bag, as I don't need the molle attachments or FDE/black color scheme that would draw attention when I don't need attention to be drawn. |

Fuck yeah I'll take two!! Does it cum in MultiTacs pattern.....

LOL, not quite what I had in mind! |
| It really depends on what you consider "breaking the bank" you can get the Kelty MAP 3500 for $99 when it is on sale at Amron and that is a great pack. The only criticism I might have of it is it is not in any way rigid and it will not stand on it's own if empty... |
| What's your most likely SHTF scenario? I mean sure, we all want to rule in the post zombie apocolypse world, but realistically...... I have money, important document copies, one pair of clothes, some water purification stuff and fire in mine. That is for use in case of fire or severe weather that forces me to get out of my current housing. YMMV, but if total SHTF, I'd need radios and artillery support before a lot of other things people buy to be ready for it. |

OP, look up the Survival Discussions subforum under the Outdoors tab here. They'll have real answers for you, not the bubba "you don't need no food!" nonsense you'll find here. This. Also, you should read Bama's thread about Katrina (not sure if it is still active or fell into the archives). |
