Not only did they die, the people that did it got a state funeral, the muslim countries would not lower their flags at the games, Germany let the perps go (and wouldn't let Isreali commandos do their job), the games weren't canceled, and on top of all that, one of the victims mothers died of a heart attack at the funeral.
Never has a country been shit on more in one incident by everyone else than that week.

It's a movie about this. Well actually the aftermath and retribution.
