This.

But why are buying shit that you don't even know what it is?

What did that thingamajig set you back?

7/22/2012 5:45:26 PM EDT
[#5]
I figured it was some kind of personal/tent heater.
Calm down, I only paid a buck.
Damn, tough crowd tonight.
7/22/2012 5:52:38 PM EDT
[#6]
Only seen those used to heat chicken coops.
7/22/2012 6:00:19 PM EDT
[#7]
That's neat. It looks like its missing something on the top. You have a name or manufacture stamp anywhere?
7/22/2012 6:02:49 PM EDT
[#8]
what, you can't read the instructions there?
7/22/2012 6:08:11 PM EDT
[#9]
No mfr name or stamp.
Instructions are only about how to light, trim wick, etc.
7/22/2012 6:33:47 PM EDT
[#10]
Pretty sure that is a flux capacitor.

Nah.  Jensen disgronificator.  The hole pattern on the door is the telltale.

I would have loved to have found that thing for a buck. Looks like you can cook over a kerosene flame. Cool!
7/22/2012 7:07:58 PM EDT
[#14]
Looks like a heater used to keep the frost from setting in on orchards so the fruit doesn't get ruined.

[#15]
Should make one hell of a "Set & Forget" skeeter beater for the back yard, just gotta fill it with Citronella or something.

For a buck, Id say score, so long as it works. Like a indestructible medieval tiki torch or somethin.
7/22/2012 8:08:29 PM EDT

I woulda bought it too. But I dont know a thing about it.

Looks like some variation of a brooder house heater.  You can find more info here.

I'd have probably jumped on it for a buck as well.
7/23/2012 9:58:59 AM EDT
[#20]
I would have popped a buck on it. It looks versatile.

It looks like the bottom half of a possum poacher.  You obviously don't have a pot to poach in.

Poached possum prevents prostrate problems.

I would pay a buck for it just to have people tell me what they think it is.

Of course every one knows it is an out house warmer...
7/23/2012 4:11:14 PM EDT
[#24]
Nice heater.
7/23/2012 4:12:58 PM EDT
