I had some company over and was a bit rushed. So I am willing to accept point docking for lack of rifle, sidearm, reloads, and EDC knife. So hopefully I will come out with a 5/10 in the end... Started with a whole beef loin from Costco, which was trimmed to this end result: The end product for this nights dinner was a beef wellington: Plated with green beans wrapped in prosciutto and a parsnip mash: |

I am not a heathen... Just didn't have the proper armament at the time ![]() Edit: You can just see the start of the napkin on the right side of the photo.

Quoted: Just curious. How do you eat the green beans? Why is the fancy food presented so awkwardly? I'd just eat it with my hands and get kicked out of the restaurant. Just wanted to try something different and I had left over prosciutto. Added a nice saltiness. Eating wasn't an issue. Knife cuts open prosciutto releasing the green beans, cut off as much as you want to go with each bite. |

Fantastic looking meal. I would have liked to see the Wellington a little more rare but it looks fantastic none the less. The filet is spot on. Did you do anything to the potatoes? Nice presentation with the asparagus green beans No worries about the guns because dinner should be about food. |

Quoted: Did you do anything to the potatoes? Yeah, I left them in the bag. That's a parsnip mash Simmered parsnips for 15 minutes until tender. Simultaneously had a pot with some heavy cream, garlic, shallots and thyme going. Strained it. Mashed the parsnips with butter and some of the liquid. Was awesome.
