I have a small P/U, it would have more clearance than a car, I think I could make it. I would have no choice but to try. Before I got a quad I would drive my truck like a 4wheeler. It's kind of bashed up already.

I have honestly thought about loading up some of my G18 mags and leaving two in my car after these flash mobs. That will give me 64 rds plus either 12 or 16 more rds in my G19 or G26 depending on what I am carrying that day. I currently keep two G17 mags loaded in the car. |

I may be wrong, but I suspect a couple people posting in this thread either didn't read the OP, didn't comprehend the OP, or don't know what a flash mob is.
That being said, if I'm outnumbered 300 to 1 and immobilized I don't think it's it's a stretch of the imagination that I will lose that fight if I can't disperse it most Riki-Tik. |

Is there a magic percentage of a mob you have to take down for the rest to bolt in panic? I've always thought about a mag worth of .45ACP or 5.56 would do the trick. |

For the most part the flash mob crowds you are talking about are not some bunch of wild-eyed religious nut-jobs or those so repressed by their governments that they are desperate. A bunch of urban youth cowards would be closer to the truth.
I suspect they would clear a path pretty darn quick once the first few bodies start hitting the pavement. Heck, I suspect my old Accord would do that well enough.

I have a 4wd pickup, it won't bog down on bodies. If it does I carry 2 extra mags for my BHP, 3 more in the glove box and a 7" knife. I bet after I pop a few heads the mob will disperse pretty quickly 
On another note I have been thinking about getting a under-folding AK-47 as a truck gun.

People that are just up for light mischief and vandalism will unass when a fullsize suburban or truck comes down the street and then up the curb after them.
People that are there for some real violence will have a plan to deal with the truck. Either way you want to drive hard and smart. Funnest ride I ever had was in a State Dept. suburban in the 80's.
