There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who agree with me — because they want to give something back. They know they didn’t — look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something — there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there. [Emphasis added] If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. Putting it into context doesn't help. It just makes his statement even more disgusting. If they're rich and they want to give something back...they can! They can give more money to the govt, or a charity, or whatever they want to do. They don't need govt to force them to give money. Reminds me of this statement: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9FN99ZphFRY/TqApXHJMl9I/AAAAAAAAA_c/H_kQrLXrld4/s1600/penn.jpg All he's saying here is that since you didn't build the entire system, you OWE the govt something for your success. He's implying a moral obligation to pay more in taxes, because you were only successful thanks to others. That is just absurd. What helped society more, the taxes the Wright Brothers paid, or powered flight? In other words: Obongo is saying that anyone with wealth didn't earn it - they stole it from others, hence, they OWE. CMOS Precisely. His statement is aimed not at business owners, but at his constituents. This statement was pure class warfare, intended to tell the masses "Those rich guys, they didn't earn it. Somebody else did it for them." ...and that it would be okay to take it from them etc. Hopefully we'll be ready when they try to take it. |

Somewhere right now, Democrats are slamming their heads into tables over his little speech. Agreed. This needs to be the modern equivalent of Dukakis riding in the tank looking like a dork. Romney needs to take this and run it in for a touchdown. BHO really let his true colors shine through with that speech. What a socialist POS. 4073 |

It doesn't make a lick of difference. it will only get play among those who already despise the imposter. His faithful (and the everyone in the graveyard) will still vote for him.
What will make a difference is people looking around and seeing how bad the economy is and how prices have risen. The msm will still push the "messiah" message and that is the battle. Msm propaganda vs. Reality. I hope reality wins. Oh, I do like the memes though |

Somewhere right now, Democrats are slamming their heads into tables over his little speech. Unless somebody gets off their ass and throws it in his face daily for the next three and a half months, it will be what it was, a pep talk to the faithful. So far the only people who have heard it are us, and the group he was speaking to, who, by the way, were likely ecstatic about the remarks because they believe it is high time that somebody went after the man. ETA: This would also go along with something hammering home the message that Obama has never actually built or worked on anything, he has no non collegiate work history as an adult. His campaign is putting Romney's work history front and center, yet never mention Obama's. This goes along with wanting to see his college records, the man has no qualm with attacking his opponents qualifications, yet his own qualifications begin and end in college, yet he will not release the records. |

some of these are really awesome, but if you're planning to use them for political purposes, make sure that you're thinking them through––the ford assembly line stuff and the skyscraper building will play into the hands of anyone who supports obama on this. "ford didn't build that factory––wage-earners built it, just like obama said" is going to be a common response. i'm not trying to be a buzzkill, because a lot of them are spot-on. just make sure that counterproductive messages aren't going out. I was just thinking this. Some of them make me cringe because they really are playing to the twisted, communist point obama was trying to make. Henry Ford, Steve Jobs, Any small business owner or entrepreneur in history that had a great idea and made a lot of money off of it should be what's in the pictures. |

Well at least we know where got his "yes we can" slogan from. |

What is amusing to me, one of the "greatest Democratic Presidents" JFK pontificated, "ask not what your country can do for you"
And now Zero is pontificating, the government does everything for you... |

These are great!
But on a serious note. I don't see how ANY small business owner could support this bag of rotted dicks. What an insult. I'm not a business owner, but my hats off to you guys that are. It takes fucking guts to put everything on the line not knowing if you'll succeed or not but still going for it. I'm just a "regular working guy" and make a damn nice living for my family for what I do. I've thought about what it would be like to run a small business and it seems scary as hell not knowing if that steady income would be there. So bravo gentleman, and fuck that retard Obama! |
