I am doing a presentation for my psychology class and I am looking for some info. I am doing a project on post critical stress by the private citizen, what I am looking for is a number of you that have been involved in critical incidents as a citizen. The definition for a critical incidents is either a serious accident where someone has been near death or serious medical situation, physical encounter or use of force both lethal and non lethal
What I am looking for is not what happened during the incidents however some background of the incidents is helpful. What I am mainly looking for is what kind of support did you receive after the incidents, did you seek out professional help and did it help. Do you have a support system in place or did you set one up after the incidents. Not really looking for names just if you have set up or have something in place. I ask any professional i.e. law enforcement military fire or E.M.S. personal to not respond because again I am looking for the private citizen. Names or pictures will not be used in class the only info that will be in class is that I got the info from responses on this site I won’t even use screen names Thanks in advance for all your responses and understanding |
