Was Bond growing up.
Danial Craig is better by far. Jaws was my favorite bad guy. Who was your favorite Bond and bad guy? |
| I saw a lot of Roger Moore movies....I thought they were cool back then but they don't stand up to time well... I remember Arfcom moaning and gnashing of teeth when Daniel Craig was announced something about how he couldn't even drive a manual car apparently. He's not too bad. These recent movies are a little darker, bloodier. |

I actually like all the Bond actors for different reasons. Moore and Connery for the quips. Dalton and Craig for badassery. Brosnan and Connery for the class and womanizing. FUCK GEORGE LAZENBY. Oddly enough, Ian Fleming, before he died, wanted Geo. Lazenby to play Bond because he found him to be the closest to his original conception of James Bond. |

I read all the books and George Lazenby looks asian. |

I miss the witty banter in the new films. Nevermind the guys, what about the women? Pussy Galore? Or Diana Rigg? She was hot back in the day! http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/5/53/Contessa_Teresa_di_Vicenzo_by_Diana_Rigg.jpg/200px-Contessa_Teresa_di_Vicenzo_by_Diana_Rigg.jpg Honor Blackman, hands down.
Still rockin' it at 87!

When I went to the movies Roger was bond so I have to go with him. The creepiest guy was the giant black voodoo guy with his face painted like a skull or something. The guy did soda commercials on T.V. he would laugh all creepy. 7-up. The UN-cola! HAHAHAHaaaaaaaa... |

Loved Roger Moore for his campiness backin the day, doesn't age well however....
Connery really defined the role, everyone is measured up to him. Daniel Craig has done well. Look forward to more with him. Brosnan and the other guys I can mostly forget. They weren't all bad but had some bad scripts and directors. Bad guy: Zorin! Christopher Walkin rocked that role! |

It's funny how some of the Bond films were favorites as a kid (For Your Eyes Only, Spy Who Loved Me) aren't my favorites anymore. However some that I didn't like so much (From Russia With Love, Goldfinger) are some of my favorites now.
Thunderball is flat out awesome...period! I have never grown old of that film. As much as many people like to rag on it, On Her Majesty's Secret Service is a pretty good one. It actually had depth to not only Bond, but also for the Bond Girl. Diana Rigg has got to be the best BG actress, overall. She certainly had a complex character to portray and did it exceptionally well. So, because I said Thunderball, I have to say: Connery Largo Domino (but Diana Rigg for best actress) I think the newest Bond films are pretty rammed good. |

I think Daniel Craig is doing a fine job as Bond. proving that he isn't just a non stop killing and fucking machine. Not that that is a bad thing but Craig brings some humanity into it. not overt but its there
So long as he doesn't get what he wants as James Bond

Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Sean Connery is Bond. Roger Moore is the Saint, Simon Templar. And Pierce Brosnan is Remington Steele. And David Niven is the Pink Panther. Sorry, kid. The Pink Panther was a diamond, not a person. Whoops. Meant The Phantom. Wires got crossed in my brain between thinking and typing. ![]() |

Connery and Moore. Lost all interest in the "Bond" franchise after that. I think George Lazenby did a good job as Bond in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" by the way. I loved Connery's humor, and Roger Moore's general cocking of the old eyebrow at everything, like "I am taking none of this seriously". But, if you read the original Bond novels, where he's a cold fish, whom everyone reflects off of, Lazenby had him down cold. No question. The later Bonds? W/ the exception of Pierce Brosnan occasionally, the result was mostly:
