A little background on me. I have an Architectural drafting certificate from a tech school and a high school diploma. I have been a mechanical designer for about ten years now designing HVAC and plumbing systems in commercial buildings. With the downturn of the economy the consulting engineering job market has become pretty slim pick'ens. In my area anyway.
I was laid off a couple weeks ago and I really want to take this time and switch career paths. I would consider going to school but I don't have any clue what I would want to do. I guess I would like to go into some field that is more secure. Something that even with the downturn in the economy people will still need. |
