Although not a surprising find, this video is pretty disturbing when you look at how prevalent the link between genetically modified crops and cancer is. This is a documentary from 2004, but it's still scary to think how much hasn't changed...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhHbm_Z_pW8 |

Actually I have a sister who says to eat food as close to natural as you can.
She was having some health issues and doing that has helped her. I also try to eat things a s close to natural since non natural foods many make me feel sick. my wife jokes I'm about to become like Ted Nugent and only eating what I have killed (or grown) Maybe she is onto something, Hmmmmmmm |

This just in . . . . . LIVING causes cancer. BTW the FRENCH at the beginning of that vid , saying a 1/2 gal. jug of RUP is for the BIG jobs. I use about 4K gal. per year Living crappy causes cancer. Eating crap causes cancer. Compromised immune systems cause cancer. I'm sure lots more... but PART of 'living crappy' is dealing w/ Roundup or most anything that monsanto has touched in any way. If you use 4k/gal/year, let us know when and where to send the sympathy cards to your family. (It should not be long unless you've not been at it long) |

ETA: Maybe you could send a little PRE memorial gift $$ , since I have SO little time left , I need to spend some quality vacation time with my soon to be , bereaved family , I can provide a paypal acct for your convenience |

Is this another sky-is-falling thread? Probably. While they're all debating the merits of genetically modified wheat vs organic varieties, I figure it's best not to eat the shit to begin with. It's one more way in which I get to watch a debate from the sidelines, in which two camps hate me to death, for different reasons.

I can't think of anything besides monsanto that sucks as bad, but monsanto is worse, well, most big pharma (not all, but most) but they are worse too..... And at 22, you might have 20 more years, I would not count on it, but.... marginally likely. when did that (much) exposure start? If it was pre 15 y.o. you were still developing, so could already have damaged dna..... if just recently, might have until 45, anyway. |

I toasted an end-slice of loaf bread the other day (not sure why the wife still buys it, we don't eat it?) and had butter and vegemite on it for breakfast. It was awesome. But, despuite my love of better living through agricultural chemistry, no, we don't eat much wheat and not much more corn. So no hate here.....but you knew that. |

Back then it was UNGODLY expensive. Hell, been using Gromoxeone since about then, as well as stuff that makes Hippies go to cutting thier wrists in angst. Endosulfan, Guithion, etc...Just sprayed Ziram and Immidan the other day. I must be dead already, so no dibs on my stuff as it's too late. Agriscience...it's like a science or something, how does it work? |

Newslfash to the dimwitted alarmists who know more about freaking out than horticulture: Every "natural" thing you eat is genetically modified, nothing we eat is the same as the crops or plant it was developed from. The same processes that can force a genetic change in a lab have been done via selective breeding or hybrid splicing generation after generation to make different, more hearty, or more nutritious crops. In some cases, GM crops are more nutritionally sound than their non-GM counterparts - but don't let that stop you, there's a spurious study somewhere by a twat in sensible shoes that says only organic, free-range, gluten-free, hippy-raised produce will rot your balls off. Oh, and even the most perfect, all natural foods ever grown can contain toxic materials from the soil to include heavy metals, arsenic, etc. Better just kill yourself now. |
