Up above, there is a thread titled "THREATS/WISHING HARM AGAINST GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS IS NOT PERMISSIBLE HERE." My question is this: why is it okay to insult/degrade (sometimes racially) the President of the United States here but not LEO/Mil? I know gun owners by and large are Republican but why isn't the office of POTUS respected?
I don't care either way it just seems that no other president has been subjected to this much outright disrespect and I'm starting to think it has more to do with race than policy. |

| I've never seen anyone get ban hammered for bashing the mil/leo. The poster might get their ass handed to them on a paper plate 6 ways from Sunday but any ban or time out usually results from an epic meltdown unrelated to the topic. I have seen folks get TO'd or ban hammer'd for outright disrespect and personal attacks but not just for bashing mil/leo.
