Here is a couple of pictures from the pits, they are completely open to the public, and you can stand there and watch them rebuild the bike. That surprised me, getting so close to the bikes and riders. http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/happyal27/2012-06-01163140.jpg http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/happyal27/2012-06-01163313.jpg http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/happyal27/2012-06-01163134.jpg http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/happyal27/2012-05-28164722.jpg Great pics, thanks for sharing. |

best racing in the world. even the motogp boys wont touch it. MotoGP boys won't touch it because their insurance won't allow them to. Repsol Honda has no use for a broken Casey Stoner. This year Nicky Hayden did a demo lap, where he rides around at slowest speeds and waves to the crowd. The story is, that even at the speeds they were running, he was scared when he got off the bike. Now I’ve seen some of those demo laps where they are really moving, so perhaps he got a bit too brave. |

Great pics, thanks for sharing. No problem buddy, just glad someone likes them :) I've got loads, but they start looking the same after a while. I've got a great one somewhere, I'm looking for it. You can see just how close people are to the road. We where sitting on a hedge and peoples feet are so close to the road. If you ever get the chance to go their and watch the races, you really must, even if you're not bothered about bikes, the whole thing is just fantastic. This is Coner Cummings bike, shame he never got to race it. I was surprised how big Conner is, he is a gaint. http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/happyal27/2012-05-28164219.jpg http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/happyal27/DSC08501.jpg Keep em coming, man. |

Funny to come across this - just watched this feature on Motorcycle Daily. John McGuinness narrating a lap of the IOM. You gotta tune your ear a bit:
http://www.motorcycledaily.com/2012/06/amazing-on-board-footage-of-john-mcguinness-lapping-iom/ For example, he talks about his mates giving him crap from the roadside, beers in hand, when he comes through Creg-ny-baa. |

That Norton makes my pants tight..... Also. I have to see one of these races before I die. Been watching it for years. Guy Martin to the top! Quoted:

I'd pay to ride that as a closed course. It'd be much slower of course. That and Nurburgring. Man I gotta get me and a few bikes to Europe. You don't have to... On "Mad Sunday", they open the track up to anyone who wants to take a stab at it. Pretty much like every other day (no speed limit on the island) but oncoming traffic is taken out of the equation and there are a precious few more barriers to help protect you. |
