I'm not sure how to format a rant for y' all but I'm gonna try  Why pretty simple,  I'm tired of white guys trying to be black.  I'm tired of hearing how being factual is racist.  I'm tired of political correctness.  I'm tired of how people blame me for the wrongs that they do.  I didn't put the pipe, beer, whatever, to your lips.  Take responsibility for your actions.  Be a fucking man.  Thats what was expected me me when I turned 18.  You're 30 and your a piece of shit.  WTF thats not my fault, take responsibility for your own life.

When did being a man become a "whatever?"

I'm 26 and I feel like I'm twice that age.  I guess I don't know what I'm getting at but it just seems to me that there is a general lack of respect for everything now.  I don't know what to do, people who are older than me are raddressed as, "Sir."

I am a police officer.  I had a man more than twice my age call me "Sir."  The other night.  I surely don't expect to be called Sir from a a man that is twice my age.  But the younger people call me asshole?  WTF I really do try to treat people how I would want to be treated.  I know POLICE is an evil word on this site but damn.
I don't think that I should be given respect just because of my position.  I feel that respect is earned but damn.
I don't know what I'm trying to get at but the world today saddens me.
Too many beers I guess.

As the son of a police chief, you can rest assured that not everyone here dislikes the police

I worry about my old man every day. His PD is small enough that he still did regular patrol shifts up until a couple of years ago. Back then I used to take a lot of time off from work so I could ride along with him, and watch his back. He was my protector when I was growing up, so returning the favor was the right thing to do.

Thank you for doing a job that most wouldn't want (or be able) to do.
