That explains it, the online gaming network that sony uses was hacked again, compromising people that have their accounts linked to their credit cards. |

you get what you pay for? why would you continue to use a service that leaked your personal info out? Better stop using Xbox Live, Steam, Origin.. ect. ect. then... ohh steam screwed me already, and you guys all mock me for writing them off, fuck drm |

That was in 2011. Not recent. Quoted: http://www.thebitbag.com/2011/10/12/psn-hacked-again/ That explains it, the online gaming network that sony uses was hacked again, compromising people that have their accounts linked to their credit cards. |

Quoted: it's free, so it's better. Xbox charges a monthly fee for a reason, . . . to pay people to keep it safe and running. you get what you pay for. Not to mention that when you factor the cost of the system and accessories, it takes ~4 years to justify the cost difference of free online play, or at least it did last time i did the math. |

Wait what? I bought a PS3 just so I could play bluray and netflix. I don't even play games on the thing and another outage? If this is true, I have to plug the LAN cable back into my TV in and go with the crappy LG netflix interface again. DAMMIT!! The OP has no idea what he's talking about, don't worry. Blurays and Netflix have nothing to do with psn, you can still do either even if they shut it down forever. PSN is used for multiplayer games, the PlayStation store, messaging, etc. Your Netflix login is not connected in any way to the psn, nothing gets sent through their servers, it's simply from you to Netflix, just like using a PC. Blu-rays don't even need internet access to play, so again PSN is moot. I'm going to assume that reading comprehension closely matches writing ability, leading to gross misunderstandings like this. |

IMO Playstation builds far superior hardware, but its more then im willing to pay for a console, and Microsoft built a more secure network with a console thats a crapshoot as far its life span. |
