Sucks ass.

It completely killed my ability to watch videos, and apparently I'm not alone.

I dealt with the high memory usage bullshit for a long time.  Now I'm just pissed.

What do?

The memory problems drove me to Chrome.  Yeah yeah, Google is evil, but it works for me.

I've never had my laptop act as buggy as it has since downloading the latest update a week or so ago.

FF has sucked since 4.0 IMHO, I have zero issues with Chrome.

Which version is it?

I just checked mine (Version 12), and now's downloading the update.  Fuck.

ETA:  Ah cool, it's asking if I want to apply the update.  What to do?

if videos arent playing check that you have the latest version of Flash.  older ones might not work with the updated FF

I got an email from them a few days ago, asking to download it.  Glad I did not.  Im on their user test, feedback list.

On a different note.  Have you tried Waterfox.  I could never get it to work, but maybe this is a solution for you if you have a 64 system.

ETA: I could never get flash to work with it.  Drove me nuts.

I think most of the weirdness is related to the latest flash update that came shortly after firefox.  I reverted back to flash 11.2 and things have been great.

It is flawless for me.  Firefox used to crash from time to time.  I have zero issues with waterfox and love it.  Not to mention still having all of my great firefox addons like adblock+

I'm using waterfox for 64bit, but photobucket upload button doesn't work for me with waterfox, so whenever I want to upload pics I have to use chrome.

The version of Flash I tried it with 3 months ago may have been the problem.  I was on my brand new laptop, went back to Firefox and have no issues.  Then again, I have not updated anything yet as far as flash or FF.

I honed my fapping skills prior to the internet.  I'll survive.

Still not installing the update. Gotta be able to watch Russian car accidents.

Fired up the desktop again this morning and the issue has re-presented itself.  Also running really laggy....getting a lot of Not Responding time outs.

I think it's time to dump this turd.

I uninstalled RealPlayer.  Seems to be a conflict there.  Working again.

Hmmm....

I've had no problems (other than the usual memory hog issues) for a while now using Firefox 13.01 with Shockwave Flash plugin 11.3.300.257––both the latest releases.

Maybe one of your extensions or plugins is causing a problem with the latest version?

Months, actually.  9.0.1 was released in December of 2011.  Security fixes are a valid point, but upgrading to a new major version every month or so brings security concerns in itself, IMHO.
