Sucks ass. It completely killed my ability to watch videos, and apparently I'm not alone. I dealt with the high memory usage bullshit for a long time. Now I'm just pissed. What do? |

On a different note. Have you tried Waterfox. I could never get it to work, but maybe this is a solution for you if you have a 64 system. ETA: I could never get flash to work with it. Drove me nuts. It is flawless for me. Firefox used to crash from time to time. I have zero issues with waterfox and love it. Not to mention still having all of my great firefox addons like adblock+ |

Not to mention still having all of my great firefox addons like adblock+ The version of Flash I tried it with 3 months ago may have been the problem. I was on my brand new laptop, went back to Firefox and have no issues. Then again, I have not updated anything yet as far as flash or FF. |

Which version is it? I just checked mine (Version 12), and now's downloading the update. Fuck. ETA: Ah cool, it's asking if I want to apply the update. What to do? Download it and there will be no fapping for you. I honed my fapping skills prior to the internet. I'll survive.
Still not installing the update. Gotta be able to watch Russian car accidents. |

Quoted: FWIW I uninstalled it and re-installed it, and voila...back in business. Fired up the desktop again this morning and the issue has re-presented itself. Also running really laggy....getting a lot of Not Responding time outs. I think it's time to dump this turd. I uninstalled RealPlayer. Seems to be a conflict there. Working again. |

Must have had a case of buffering going on.

Tools->Options->Advanced->Update->uncheck automatic updates. works fer me. (v. 9.0.1) yeah, ignoring a couple years worth of security fixes works real good...
Months, actually. 9.0.1 was released in December of 2011. Security fixes are a valid point, but upgrading to a new major version every month or so brings security concerns in itself, IMHO. |
