Has anyone here tried it?
It is being sold by at least 2 companies that I know of...LA Police Gear and Bravo Company.

Is it totally a gimmick, or is there science behind it?

Hummm....

When your blood cells are clumped together, water, oxygen and essential minerals can no longer get to or through all the little capillaries in your body. As such, systemic hydration is impossible.
Unlike any other beverage available, ORAL I.V.™ changes the conductivity of the cell within 60 seconds of consumption through its unique formulation of Crystalloid Electrolytes and ultra-purified oxygenated water. This results in an immediate change to the electro-static charge as well as the osmotic pressure of the red blood cells. They absorb water quickly causing instantaneous cellular hydration.

Not just gimmick, but pure unadulterated bullshit lies.

"Oral" and "I.V." are mutually exclusive.

Surprised to see Bravo Company selling something like this.

Do they hook it to the veins in your mouth??  cause thats the only way Oral I.V. makes any sense as far as medical terminology goes.

I thought it was the fourth in a series of tactical-themed porno films. The real product, as it is claimed, makes less sense.
