And some wonder why all the Rep hate.

Republican Surrenderists for Obamacare

In case you hadn’t heard, even if the Supreme Court overturns the progressives’ federal health care juggernaut, prominent GOP leaders vow to preserve its most “popular” provisions. These big-government Republicans show appalling indifference to the dire market disruptions and culture of dependency that Obamacare schemes have wrought.

Exactly WHY I will not vote for Mitt Romney.

I don't support O nor am I a paulbot, I'm simply sick of the R's giving me the business that I expect from D's.

This will not change unless they are PUNISHED, harshly and possibly PERMANENTLY.

Romney was elected governor in a state where 85% of those elected describe themselves as "liberal Democrats"

Even with the Democrat majority, he was able to give 25% of his judicial appointments to Republicans.

The Democrats had *already* instituted the most-restrictive gun laws in the country. Not much he could do. But he won the support of the NRA by leaving his open to the NRA, and mild positive measures were put in place that increased gun rights. The NRA is correct to have endorsed him.

And on health care... The goal of the majority of Democrats in MA was total-and-complete .gov control of healthcare... They had the most-expensive healthcare in the US, and they were marching straight-towards total-and-complete .gov control of healthcare.

Romney was endorsed by conservatives at every level for his work in preventing the Democrats from getting what they wanted... Rush Limbaugh was one of those (of the many) who praised Romney at the time. At the time, it was seen as a victory for preventing total-and-complete .gov control of healthcare, while also preserving the insurance companies.

Folks who want to criticise Romney need to understand the context of Romney's health care law... Democrats don't want people to be forced to purchase insurance. They want everyone to get "free" (quotes used on purpose) healthcare.

Obama didn't want anythign resembling Romney's health care law. He wants everyone to be on total-and-complete .gov controlled health care...

Perhaps Romney should have done nothing? I do not agree. His healthcare plan might not be perfect, but it is a million times better than what the Kennedys in MA... And, in the face of total-and-complete .gov controlled health care, he his 100% correct in saying that it was an effective solution for MA, but it might not be for every other state... Especially states controlled by conservatives...

Same with his stance on guns in MA... Word for word, line by line, the NRA endorsed him because he made things *better* for gun owners through his elected position...

There are two names on the ballot: Romney and Obama.

If you choose to tear-down Romney, then you are supporting Obama.

To be clear, Obama does not and did not want Romney's health care plan. Obama wants total-and-complete .gov control of healthcare. That is his ultimate goal.

Also, to be clear, based on Obama's statements from his career in Chicago politics, Obama has a *worse* record on guns than Romney... Romney won the endorsement of the NRA with baby steps in the right-direction on guns. Good luck finding any positive statements about Obama from the NRA...

It isn't a toss-up for me.

Obama is bad-news for those who put an emphasis on freedom.

Romney is *clearly* the better choice...

I understand your point of view.  Please take a moment and consider this.

We have a current administration that is HELL BENT on destroying this nation and turning it into a communist paradise.  Probably complete with their dreams of crushing resistance in the manner that most Commies love to do.

We are on a path towards utter misery.

The left is going to lie, cheat and steal their hearts out to win this election, to whit, every fake vote of theirs that counts HAS to be countered with a vote of a real human that is honest and has some integrity.

YES!!! You are RIGHT!!   We need to rid ourselves of the shackles of Northeast style Republicans.

This has to happen and will happen if we make the effort from the bottom up.  Start local and start kicking ass there and work your way up.

All this being said, just like the left managed to make Democrats into Communists, we have to make Republicans into Conservatives.  This DOES NOT HAPPEN IN ONE ELECTION.

It took the left 70 YEARS to get to the point we are today.

You cannot expect that your staying home on election day is going to create a miraculous transformation of the Republican party.  The RNC is not going to sit down and say, "Gosh, Hugo stayed home and didn't vote for us...... Why did that happen and how can we win his vote back"

THIS particular election, we have a TINY window of opportunity.  That opportunity is to get people elected who stand a CHANCE of listening to conservatives.  We might be lucky enough to get Obamacare repealed, and be able to delay any sort of "replacement" by being obstinate.  But the other option is to have people in power, who.....deep in their dark little souls... would be happiest to see you and people like you behind barbed wire.

YOU AND I WILL NOT LIVE TO SEE THIS COUNTRY BACK TO THE GLORY IT SHOULD BE.

But, we have the chance to take the first step back.

Are you going to be short sighted and essentially selfish, and expect instant results and in turn allow the left to steal another vote?

Or will you decide to stem the tide and be part of the group of people that stand a remote chance of getting this country repaired?

We need to focus on the House and Senate, then it won't matter as much.  It's either 4 years of Obama, or 8 years of anti-gun big government Romney, or 4 years of Romney and 4 to 8 years of a Democrat who will be even worse.  Romney's record shows him appointing liberal justices, so his Supreme Court justices probably won't be much different than Obama's.  Why do you people seem to forget that Romney has a long record of socialist policies, big government agenda, higher taxes, and being anti-gun.  Why do you think he is magically going to transform into a conservative, small government, pro-gun person?  He's not, he's going to be the same old Romney he has been and that really isn't much different than Obama.

You make great points, but allow me to counter:

We will NEVER break the RINO chains unless the body-politic is forced to swallow the natural and inevitable consequences of the Democrats socialist policies AND TO UNDERSTAND THE DEMOCRATS ARE TO BLAME FOR THEM.

Every time we elect a RINO that advances the same "light" version of those policies, we lose the ability to pin the Democrats policy failures on them.

Claire Wolfe was right:  Its too late to reform the system and too early to shoot the bastards.   We've gone too far.   The sooner we hit rock bottom with the people realizing the democrats are to blame the better for our ultimate salvation.

Before I had kids, yes, I thought full collapse would be great!  Let the whole system fall and hope that the Founding Fathers would be resurrected through DNA replication and re-form the country back to what it should be.

Reality, however, of what the world is today, with 50% of the population on the dole, and leftists in control of the main sources of information....  That is not going to happen.

If you allow this country to die, it WILL NOT be replaced with something better.  It will be something worse.  Best case, we will look like Venezuela  Worst case, we will end up with fiefdoms and a CONUS that is no longer "U".

1776 is NOT going to happen this time around.  50% of the population want free shit and have never had to really struggle to survive.

In the 1770's, if you did not work your ass off, you DIED.  So when faced with working your ass off and losing what you worked for, to the Crown, people were Patriots and fought for what was right.  The power of self-determination.

Self-determination was a great and powerful motivator for wanting FREEDOM.

Now, self-determination, responsibility and self-worth through ability and work are no longer the main driving force for our society.

Your imagined destruction of the socialist state we have now will NOT result in a state that allows for more freedom.

It will result in a state that will have absolute control and allow for NO self-determination, because that is what the masses want.  They want to be coddled, watch TV and not have to worry, BECAUSE THEY DON'T DETERMINE THEIR SELF-WORTH THROUGH HARD WORK!  They get their self-worth through how LITTLE they have to work for everything they get.

I don't support O nor am I a paulbot, I'm simply sick of the R's giving me the business that I expect from D's.

This will not change unless they are PUNISHED, harshly and possibly PERMANENTLY.

I'm perfectly happy with the death of the insatiable beast, I don't care if it dies from force feeding/engorgement (O's destructive path) or starvation (TRUE conservative/libertarian values) but never again will a single vote of mine support ANY measure of fed.gov expansion.

Then you are a fool. Do you not have children?  I am not pulling the doing for "the children" card, I am specifically talking about YOUR children.  What kind of place do you want them to grow up in?

Before I had kids, yes, I thought full collapse would be great!  Let the whole system fall and hope that the Founding Fathers would be resurrected through DNA replication and re-form the country back to what it should be.

Reality, however, of what the world is today, with 50% of the population on the dole, and leftists in control of the main sources of information....  That is not going to happen.

If you allow this country to die, it WILL NOT be replaced with something better.  It will be something worse.  Best case, we will look like Venezuela  Worst case, we will end up with fiefdoms and a CONUS that is no longer "U".

I have children and I say let's get this shit over with.

This country is done. Economically and constitutionally we're so fucked that the only way out is total reset.

It's not a matter of if it will happen, but when.

I say sooner is better than later. I want it to happen while I'm still young enough to help my kids.

It's always more effective when battling multiple opponents to determine and overcome the most dangerous first, then go after the remainder. You must position yourself so the other opponents cannot affect you and they themselves must go through the prioritized, most dangerous opponent before they can be able to reach you. Line them up to your advantage. This way the primary opponent is getting confronted from multiple fronts and cannot focus entirely on you.

Our fight will be the upcoming election.

Defeat 0bama first.

Defeat RINOs after.

I understand people want to teach RINOs a lesson. I understand people are upset their candidate didn't win the R primary. I understand many are tired of waiting for what they perceive as real change to come.

But nothing else will matter unless we mass our energies together and defeat 0bama first, and with enough of a margin to offset all the voter fraud that is about to be committed.

The dems at least have enough discipline to get everyone focused behind their candidate (even the dead). We're STILL bitching amongst ourselves like petty children that "they" didn't pick our favorite ball to use in the game.

We have an MONSTROUS amount of work ahead of all of us. This election should be a litteral cakewalk for Romney, but honestly, I cold VERY easily see the dems overcome him, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE WE ARE NOT EFFECTIVELY UNITED AGAINST THEM.

Make a decision to effectively help this fight.

ETA: Romney was not my candidate and I do love freedom. I also know how important this fight is and that this mess won't be fixed overnight.

“Freedom is not ‘fun’. It is not the same as individual happiness, nor is it security or peace or progress. It is a responsible choice. Freedom is not so much a right as a duty. Real freedom is not freedom from something; that would be license. It is freedom to choose between doing and not doing something, to act one way or another, to hold one belief or the opposite. It is not ‘fun’ but the heaviest burden laid on man: to decide his own individual conduct as well as the conduct of society and to be responsible for both decisions.” — Peter F. Drucker

Not what I am saying.  Really read what I wrote.

We have to work for generations to repair the damage.

But we can't start doing any repair work with an absolute enemy at the helm.

Everyone on here that is jumping on the bandwagon of "Don't Vote Romney", is as shortsighted, myopic and is as much of an "instant gratification" junkie, as is the worst, brattiest, child.  You want your freedom and you want it NOW NOW NOW NOW.

Well, if you want that toy, son, you have to save up your pennies from your allowance.  You have to WORK for what you want.

You may think all leftists are lazy scum, but they have been working very very hard to put this country at this tipping point.

To clarify my position, I DO NOT like Romney as the choice that has been dealt us.

But.  I have to believe, that if he can get in, we can start to fix what has been done.  We have to work hard to fight the tide of big government from both sides, but first we have to have an administration that might listen to 20% of our wishes, versus 0%.

Any of you watch the video link on her site or just going by what she says? For One Sen. Blunt is saying the health care bill has to go. He also had a bill drafted in either 2007 or 8 before Obama care that raised the age to 26 that a kid could be on his parents policy. I also think the video was edited heavily to make it sound like he supports some of the things more than what he did. There were 4 or 5 beeps during the video where he was making a statement and then it beeped and then he was talking about something different. Think what you want.

The phrase "the enemy of my enemy is my friend "is a proverb that advances the concept that because two parties have a common enemy, they can work with each other to advance their common goals. Often described as an Arabic proverb, there is also an identical Chinese proverb.

You're looking to throw a haymaker and knock out two enemies at once. They may be very, VERY similar, but they are not one and the same.
