Okay, last night it was Michael Caine and Susannah York.
Tonight is slightly leaning to Oliver Reed. So using movies of the 60's or so as a base (but as time moves on, it can move out of the 60's), for fan driven buying sprees, who should one pick for the leading man? leading lady? ____________________________________________________________________________ ("A fallen horse near Piccadilly caused a terrible congestion. Bond, of course; The Terrorists, Cuba, The Red Tent, Robin and Marian.................................. .......................................Why, I even have Darby O'Gill and the Little People! Don't have Marnie, though. I think I can skip Meteor as well. Steve, well, I have The Great Escape and Bullitt and Papillon. The "Great" thing about Steve is that his movie career really wasn't that long, so in theory it isn't that hard to get his flicks. Wayne, on the other hand, is interesting. I have How the West was Won, In Harm's Way, The Cowboys,. and probably The Shootist. The catch is if one starts in the 60's, they really only have the last 20 years of his 50ish year long career of making movies. Of course, finding a good source, ie cheap, for the movies 1930-1960 might not be that easy. Quoted:
Peter Sellers Lee Marvin Charlton Heston Gregory Peck Julie Andrews Audrey Hepburn Raquel Welch Got all of the Peter Panther movies as well as The Party, Being There, and Casino Royale. Marvin....well, at least I have "Paint Your Wagon". Heston is a good choice, I have Apes, Hur, Soylent, and Omega, Airport, and others though I ought to try to get Skyjacked; I think I can skip Earthquake. I was looking at The Awakening last night, because York was in it, but the reviews were so bad, I just skipped it. Peck is a good choice, too! I have a few Hepburns and a prehistoric Welch but I ought to focus on getting more of hers. Hadn't thought much on Andrews but if she's recommended, maybe I ought to look into it. Thank you! ____________________________________________________________ ("What kind of man are you at all, who doesn't believe in the little people?"––Michael McBride, (w,stte), "Darby O'Gill and the Little People") |
