57 minutes.
ETA: I made it 4.5 minutes. Some of it is brutality, some of it is questionable, and some of it is nearly pure distortion. ETA: Such videos would be more shocking and credible if they didn't engage in wholesale distortions that call into question the validity of anything else they say. __________________________________________________________________ Cross-platform gun database/electronic bound book (v1.3.2) (and the original thread). They didn't fear it during katrina ... disarmed a whole major city as i remember ... and nobody did a fucking thing ... Ah, quite a large number of NOPD officers straight up bailed and there where other departments unconstitutionally disarming innocent people too. |

The part on filing a complaint against an officer is unbelievable. The responses were so unbelievably identical it is uncanny. They all go immediately on the defensive and offer the same responses. And then ask for ID. and if the citizen doesn't comply then bad stuff happens at the officer's discrimination.
"WHERE ARE YOUR PAPERS?!" Scary stuff. |

I can't watch this stuff, it enrages me. I have seen it first hand with my own clients. There are far too many such incidents. There are great cops out there, but this is enough to cause you not to trust them. The issue is that they have authority to hurt you and cause serious problems. The cop that was bunch that guy on the ground, I wanted to take a baseball bat to the back of his skull. I don't care what happened and from what could be seen nothing but a cop pissed off and being an ass. As a cop, you don't get to be an ass, you are supposed to be professional, all the time. You don't get to let your emotions control you, if you do, you should not be there. It is like going to court and getting screwed by a judge who is an idiot, plenty of those, but you have to keep it in line.
And for those who yell about people not standing up against it, what do you do? Use force? Then you really are screwed. If your resist, you are going to get hurt, and when it comes to force againt the police, I see it really as an all or nothing thing because once you go, there is no going back. My dad was a cop, I worked at a police department for several years, not as a cop, I have practiced law for 15 years and been around them, I know some good ones, but I have not trust at all. There are stories but these things are far more reinforcement. |

Cliffs anyone Cops enjoy acting like tough guy badasses and beating people for no reason. I particularly liked the Oregon police handling of the guy in the car accident with the 3rd degree burns and the local PD Janitors trying to claim the guy was screaming "I'll kill you" for some... reason... after he was on fire from a car accident and none of the witnesses claim otherwise. Sorry guys, I'll go with a citizen rather than a government janitor

Oh, that makes it ok then.

Police Officers need to go through some deprogramming. This not a war, and they are not soldiers. They are citizens just like everyone else and are accountable for their actions. I think more states should uphold the right of citizens to defend themselves. Even from citizens that happen to work for a law enforcement agency. Also I'm not thrilled with the trend of the new paramilitary law enforcement uniforms. I think it sends the wrong single. LEO's are just citizens. They are not above the law. |
I watched the whole thing, and the 20 min second video. Much of the videos were straight up police brutality and corruption, which is a problem. Some of the video was selectively edited video of good (or neutral) actions. The video has bias, but it makes good points. Many of the videos I had not seen before and they made me go In particular was the the striping of the arrested female, the mass arrest at St. Paul, and the female beating where the camera was turned off. If anyone has more details, it would be appreciated.
Those videos made me go back and watch the Rodney King beating; I was a little'en when it happened and I didn't recall ever seeing the beating video. My previous assumptions on the case have come into question... |

I would like to file a complaint about the video. Is there a form I can fill out? YOU GOT SOME I.D. ON YOU, TOUGH GUY??? Video is infuriating. Meh. Not sure why that's infuriating or supposed to intimidate anyone. If you're not carrying a little plastic card with your picture on it, say so. If you are, show it to him. What's he going to do you with it? If there's no warrants or anything out for your arrest, all he's going to do is take it back to his car, stare at it for a few minutes, then hand it back to you. |

Part II has a bit more "misleading" clips than the first part, clips where one that knows the context knows they were "good" actions, but the other clips in Part II are really fucked up. No excuse for them. Yup. Part I had more video of events that I had never seen before. The skeptic in me wondered what the other side of the story was. Lots of unacceptable actions on video though. |

I wouldn't do any of them; but then again, I wouldn't refuse to give a complaint form or demand someone's ID if they ask for one. Depends on state law, but many places you don't have to present ID if asked. Compliance for the sake of compliance is a bigger deal to some than others. |

This is the scariest part about all of this. Their badge is a cloak of invincibility. Doesn't matter if you have 10x the firearms training and proficiency of your average cop, 10x the empty hand proficiency, and 10x the physical and mental conditioning... all you can do is just lay there and get your skull kicked in. So funny. Us peons have to actually train, and all these fatasses get the invincibility perk.

Invincible pussyhurt fuckbags that wanna give me 'stick time'? Awesome. |

Everything is rosey, until you become questionable in the eyes of the police. After that point, you pretty much cease to have rights. You can't win after the police take interest in you, period. The American justice system is set up to trust the people in law enforcement. Only the most horrendous of abuses result in a second look by those tasked to prevent such abuse. The thin blue line is tight. The great majority of law enforcement officers don't take part in this type of abuse, however the greater majority of them remain silent when it happens. Welcome to America, comrades. |

You have to tell them your name, address, and DOB. If you're driving, which is a licensed activity, you have to show them your DL. If concealed carrying, which is a licensed activity, you have to show them your CHL. If hunting, which is a licensed activity, you have to show them your hunting license. Honestly, tho, identity theft is the last thing I'd be worrying about from a cop like that. |
Some of the footage in this is full of fuck.....
