My dad has a pistol and asked me WTF it was. I told him what i think but he thinks i am wrong. Can any one chime in here?

This is what i think it is.

This is what he has in his hand and his description

IT IS A JMM-SERIAL NUMBER 3113-38 STANDARD. JMMARLIN NEW HAVEN CT.  JULY 1- 1878. THE CYLINDER HOLDS 5  SHELLS.   THAKS SON . LOVE AS ALWAYS DAD







his is obviously missing a part.

I think the descrepency here is this peice. I dont know what it is. he insists the gun is complete but since i dont know what that peice is i dont know if it can be removed.

Thats the ejecter. You slide the cly over it to pop out the cases.
