Morning,
I keep getting a drop down tab that tells me certain pages require windows media plug in to view it properly. I click install and go through the motions. I have tried installing it, repairing it, and uninstalling and re-installing it but it still doesn't play some movies in my browser. I also have issues with viewing some pictures in my browser. Can anyone help? EDIT: Changed the title. I accidentally put fire fox. I have google chrome. |

Use Firefox. I have no complaints.
Google creeps me out. Chrome is supposed to be fast, but I've never felt my browser was slow. The Mozilla crew also opposes all the political 'net' bullshit Google seems overly comfortable with. Opera is nice if you don't need add ons. |

I use Chrome and I get a warning that indicates that the page contains insecure content. |

I went there with Firefox, which I use 99% of the time, and the video thing was just a solid black box. I rarely, rarely run into that kind of video link issue. That page uses some kind of weirdo video standard, probably because the web page creator propeller head is just fascinated by his new little toy. |

It worked for me a few months back but I think I was using IE at work.. |

I also cannot run it because of a secure connection block. It wouldn't run for me on Fire Fox either. It would load for me on Internet Explorer if I allowed the unsecured link but it still wouldn't play. The arfcom link played fine. |

I wonder why I am still getting the popup in that arfcom thread? |

Doubt it but is the plugin listed as disabled if you type in chrome:plugins in the url bar? It doesn't list windows media player OK that means the plugin isn't installed. Here's a Chrome support page on installing it: http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=95697 |

I wonder why the plugin never worked but that did? Oh well, its working now. Thanks for helping! |

I'm been having issues with chrome lately also, youtube videos dissappearing if I leave them up for too long at idle and yet all the buttons can be pressed if you remember where they are without actually seeing them.
Plus I've had videos say they are missing a plug in only to refresh and work all of sudden. |
