I think that he is probably a nice guy off the court, and that is great.  Be that as it may, I don't like him as a BB player.  I think he is overrated.  I don't like the Mamba either.  I've met several NBA players over the years, and most of them are really nice guys in person.  I think someone that seems to be a good role model and a good team player is Kevin Durant.

Miami's biggest problem is they already had a star, D Wade.  When they added Lebron, I figured they might have troubles with team dynamics.  In retrospect, I think their coach just sucks.  Oh, so does lebron.

Miami is guilty of doing what the Celtics did a few years ago:  buy a championship.

Honestly, I wish both teams could lose this series.

I also hope OKC loses too. Fuck Bennett for fucking over Seattle.  I hope they get a team and kick the shit out of OKC.

Sorry, it still hurts losing the Supersonics.

I don't get all the LeBron hate.

He's a great basketball player,and probably
one of the best all around players ever.

Is he Jordan?  No.  He's more Magic Johnson
than Jordan, but great all the same.  He was not
under contract when he became a free agent, and
he decided to go to Miami, and TAKE LESS MONEY
than he could have gotten, because he wanted his
best chance of winning...You know..What they had
failed to do in Cleveland?

I don't even get why people care about the presser.

So what?  He had a press conference.  I noticed all
the press were there.  Lots of people watched.
The boys and girls club got a 2 million dollar donation from
him...Yeah, he's so terrible.

Jordan was a degeneate gambler, and routinely treated
team mates like, shit, to the point of punching them.  Magic
fucked around on his wife and got HIV.  Yet, LeBron, who's
never done ANYTHING close to either of these two is a bad
guy.

I don't get it.

I didn't notice anyone bitching about Garnett and Allen going to
Boston.

So you think two of the most talented players in the history of the game are over rated?

Alright.

You see, he's in the same position as Jordan.  Jordan was a "ball hog" and "selfish" until he started
winning championships.  Then, all of a sudden he wasn't.

Do you think Jordan is over rated?

That was a tough loss last night.  Hopefully we can repay the favor in kind on Thursday night.

If we can win up there and we got close in the last game, all bets are off for game 7 in Miami, Saturday night.

Bosh needs step up a bit.

I'd love to see the Celts pull this off. Send Lebron and his talents back to south beach with his tail between his legs.

As much as I hate what Clay Bennett did to Seattle I have to admit I love the team they have put together. I can't hold the actions of the owner against the players and the team they have become. The Thunder are a fun young team done right.

Steve Nash is a 2 time MVP and hasnt won a title. However, he never said "not one, not two....etc" about championships. Miami wont win a title until Wade and James loose there egos or tone it down. Besides I believe the West probably has the best shot at winning the title. Best overall team play has come out of the west the last 6-7 years.

Why should they lose their egos?

Plus, Wade already HAS a championship.

At this time it can no longer be called choking.  It is now normal.  The team is not put together well.  They have no solid player at the 4 or 5 and they have no solid PG.  If they had a good player at any of those spots they would be unstoppable.  By the time I am 60 choking will be called Lebroning, kinda like Munsoned (Love that movie).  Lebron is likely the most talented player in basketball right now.  He lacks maturity (I doubt he will ever get that) and the killer instinct that all the greatest players have.

Done right is how they have built a team through the draft. They didn't try to lure superstars with huge egos. They built a young and deep team that has no ego. They have players that stay out of trouble, are good role models, and play team ball. The first thing James Harden admits while being interviewed about his huge 3 at the end of the game is that it was meant to be KD's ball but he was covered. He knows he's a role player, admits it, and relishes the fact that the team encourages others than just the starters to find ways to score.

Really?  You think they don't have ego?  You are deluding yourself.
What trouble have the Heat players been in?
What have the Heat players done that shows them as bad role models?
You DO know the knock on LeBron is that he plays TOO unselfishly, right?  Matter of fact, that's most of the issue in Miami.
Not egos...the LACK of ego.

You also might want to check the roster.  There are lots of free agents on it.  They built
the team just like every other team does, a combination of the draft, and free agency.
What is the problem with luring superstars?  How is that wrong?

OKC is superior and did it "right" because they didn't bring in the best FAs availiable?

How about Kendrick Perkins?  That guy was the best 5 available last year.
Know why he didn't stay in Boston?  I'll give you a couple of clues;  Ego...Money....

Certainly not.  Of course one of the best players ever has an ego.
I would say every professional athlete has an ego. It's part of why
they are in the top 1% of what they do in the world.

But in this thread, what we seem to be equating "ego" to is play style.

In that way, thats LeBron's issue.  Too much unselfish play.

KFDM has confirmed that NBA star Kendrick Perkins was arrested in Beaumont early Saturday morning. He was booked into the Jefferson County jail around 4:00a.m. on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct. The charges are a class C misdemeanor. Per Texas penal code 12.23, an individual guilty of a class C misdemeanor shall be punished by a fine not to exceed $500. Perkins posted bond of $150 shortly after being booked and were released.

Fair enough...But what don't you like about him as a person?

Arguably, the worst thing he's done is "The Decision" and that was
meant as a free party for the city of Miami, and also resulted in a 2 million dollar
donation to the Boys/Girls club.

He's got a clean record, donates his time and money to charity..As we've

lack of "self" to have the ball in his hands all the time....

What I do care about is LeBron, Wade and Bosh, standing up on a stage after signing their contracts claiming they are gonna win multiple championships. That's why I don't want them to win.

When you start counting on winning championships that can be ok to, but the whole not5, not6, not7 thing really griped a lot of people.

I love that they spent all that money and can't buy a championship.
Hopefully he will end up back in Cleveland and win at least one for them.
