So just what is up with the American infatuation with British royalty?
I could really give a flying fark about the Queen's jubilee...if a prince is in the hospital...if a princess runs around with rich arabs and gets her ass killed in a wreck... 
So what the fuck  ...does America as liberal-ass whole want to rejoin the commonwealth???

King Edward VIII served in the Grenadier Guards in WW1 and witnessed trench warfare. King George V served in the Royal Navy from 1877 to 1891. The Queen's uncle Prince Henry Duke of Gloucester served in the Army from 1919 to 1945 and was wounded in combat during WW2. Another uncle Prince George, Duke of Kent served in the Royal Navy in the 1920's and in the RAF during WW2, he was killed in a plane crash in 1942. |

As far as the Royals go, the Queen served in WW2 as a driver and just about all of them have gotten off of their asses and onto their feet and led from the front.
Willie and Harry are both flyboys, Willie doing rescue wrk in the North Sea and Harry got into the shit in Afghanistan. Harry was directing arty fire in support of US troops and that makes him special in my book. Incidentally, as far as Kate goes, she is doing a great job when you consider she was just a nobody a couple of years ago. Just because we don't have anything like that in this countyr doesn't mean I laugh at it. Besides, they do it right. Can you picture the Kenyan trying to pull something like that off? HA! |

We just don't get the class and the real service to go with it. Basically, in typical politician fashion, they want the entitlement but not the service connected. |
