Last CSB topic of the night then I've got to get to bed.

Left the cabin and dropped the wife off with her daughter then took a different route home.

This happened over the weekend. We had heard about it but no details. I thought it was a murder/suicide.

As I drove through an area I seen a unmarked car parked at the side of the road. Got about 500 yds further up the hill and passed 5 cop cars and cops coming out of the woods. I drove another 2 miles and passed a K-9 unit flying like a bat out of hell. 10 miles later was stopped at a checkpoint.

I was driving a Ford Ranger with a hard tonneau cover. I had the dog setting up front with me and he raised as I slowed down and I grabbed his mane and kept him off his feet. Cop looks in then he glances in the extended cab window then tells me, nice dog. I tell him he can pop the lid open it wasn't locked. At that point about 3 LEO's surround the rear of the truck as one reaches over and opens it. I'm sure he got a good smell of 3 day old trash. They let me pass. In all I counted 7 AR's strapped to guys as they searched through vehicles.

So I wasn't beaten or strip searched and my dog was not shot. I hope that this murderer is no longer alive. I know CSB........
