I have a Motorola Atrix that I just got a car dock for so I took down my Garmin GPS.  I really like Garmin UI and use it often.  I tried using Google maps for nav, but it is balls.  I just searched and it doesn't look like there is a Garmin app to essentially turn the phone into a Garmin type device when docked which I find hard to believe.  What is the hive using for in car GPS nav on their Androids?

Hard to answer phone calls and text while you are following directions on your Android GPS. That's why I much prefer a dedicated Garmin!

Should be built into the phone. Use maps to find your location. Click on the location and it should offer to give you directions. Just follow the prompts and it will eventually lead you to navigation.. Or go to your apps and find navigation. I have not seen a phone that didnt have it pre-installed.

You shouldn't be yakking on the phone or banging out text messages while driving.  Period.

If it's important you can pull the fuck over and talk/text, then get back into traffic.
