Ok so I have a possible trade opportunity for a Strider knife with 2 to choose from.  My only concern is the value and if these are the real deal or not.

I admittedly don't know much about Strider knives so I turn to the experts.

The right knife is a Strider SMF  and the left is a Strider RC TAD w/ tritium thumb studs and marked 029.

Both knives are marked Strider which can't be seen in the picture.

So from this terrible picture can anyone tell me any info on these?  Thanks

Perspective is a bitch.....

First time I looked at the image I thought "DAMN those knives are huge..." Then I noticed the table edge blending with the floor.

The RC TAD might have been a limited addition sold by Triple Aught Design. I don't recognize it but I haven't paid much attention to knives in the last couple of years. The SMF looks correct you should be able to compare it on their website.

Found this for you. It may help.

Why is there a baby running around on that table full of knives?

I'd try this one in the blades forum

Found this link which gives a decent description of it. http://www.knifeforums.com/forums/showtopic.php?tid/879685/ check out http://www.tripleaughtdesign.com/ for tad gears logo which should be stamped on the blade. Only 100 MAY have been made from what I am finding.

From what the hardcore knife guys say about strider I would go for something else.

One issue I am having with the RC is the handles. See here.

Can you take some close up pictures of BOTH blades so that we can see the engravings?

Ok, with a little more searching on a private forum I was able to find out a little more info. The handle on the RC is actually the design they used for the RCC. The serial number should be three digits double line font a little less than 2/3 the size of the thumbstud and stamped on the left hand side of the blade. The righthand side should have the strider logo along with another stamping near the choil. The thumbstud itself looks like it may have an o-ring for added grip. The pocket clip should also be tiger striped for lack of a better term. I would post a photo if I could but I do not own them or have a place to post them. Hope this helps a little.

Also, is it a framelock or liner lock? If it is a liner lock it is an RCC.
