We just hung a T.V. on a wall in our screened-in porch.  I hung a small shelf under the T.V. for the "cable box," but I don't like the way it looks.  There is enough room above the T.V. to secure the box that would be out of the way and seemingly less conspicuous.  However, beyond using heavy double sided velcro tape, I'm at a loss for how best to do this.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

Is this the type of shelf that you got?

Home Depot and Lowes sell velcro/buckles and adhesive earthquake strapping kits that look pretty good for securing AV equipment.

My shelf is essentially a small "mantle" type shelf.  As I said, I want to mount it above the T.V., possibly from the ceiling.  I can certainly use straps and zip ties with two small eye hooks in the ceiling.  I didn't know if someone made a ceiling mount bracket.
