I have this Whirlpool refrigerator with a top freezer, and it has this recurring problem of getting its drain (for condensation, i think) frozen and clogged.  A few months ago I had to get a blow drier and melt the ice in the drain pipe because the condensation was leaking into the refrigerator part making water leak out of it at the bottom.  After doing this, it was good for a while, and then after about a month water started to leak into my refrigerator again.  I just collected it into a bowl stuck into the frige, periodically tossing it out.

So today, I realize my freezer is significantly frosted over, and the refrigerator compartment is not much cooler than ambient temp.  So I take everything out, remove the bottom "floor" of the freezer and sure enough there's a thick sheet of ice which is clogging the cold air flow from the freezer to the frige and the condensation drain is frozen again.

After much chiseling away of the ice and blow-drying the shit out of everything, the refrigerator is getting cold air again, the condensation drain is draining properly, and everything is back to normal, except for the fortunately small amount of food I may have to toss.

Why would this be happening on a regular basis?  When the thing works, it works great, so I really don't want to get another one if this thing can be fixed with a modicum of effort.

TL;DR: frige leaks, its drains freeze, wtf...
