Found it in my dogs kennel this morning.

He was very proud of himself!

and the "killer dag"

Both dogs have been stalking this thing for 2 weeks. First sighting was in a small tree the size of a pencil.

Then all this past week he has been hiding under my stack of firewood.

Guess he ventured out last night and met his /her fate.

It's funny how dogs will kill things but not eat them sometimes.

Maybe he was saving it as a snack for later.

Silly, that's no chupacabra, it's an American Bald Eagle.  Look at that rat like tail.  It's bald.

It's very uncommon for an opossum to be a rabies carrier.

His tail was bald but there is no picture of it. That is a stick you're looking at.

I'm thinkin, uh, not this time.

However they did bring a momma around last year and laid it behind me while I wasn't looking. I was bare foot and stepped right on the ick when I took a step back. Nasty.

He got beat with a shovel then after that didn't work he got a round to the head (twice)

It's amazing how many people can't identify a baby pronghorn. I would ask to have this thread nuked if I were you. They are a United Nations protected species.

yeah. weird, but true.
I've never heard of a rabid possum in my part of Texas. I asked my vet about it once ( he's the county rabies expert ) and he couldn't remember one either.

yeah. weird, but true. I've heard mention of it being related to the possums body temperature, but I've never seen any proof of anything.
