Go down to the nearest Autozone/O'Riely's/Pepboys, and see what fits.  You should be able to handle a few.

Closest auto parts store was going to be my suggestion as well.  If you can't find something small enough, head over to the motorcycle section.

The GM filters for the Trailblazers are about as skinny and long as they come.

Still about 3" in diameter and maybe 5-6" long.

Can you get online and search for a visual filter guide from someone like Fram?

This may give you an idea of shapes: http://www.thefind.com/cars/browse-fram-racing-oil-filters

Keep up thAt    sTory, Friend.
It Seems That It is Now possible to Get a threaded muzzle adapter, that would allow you clean the bore of your host firearm, and have the solvent and gunk collected in a standard automotive oil filter that will screw on to that adapter. If you forgot and left it on, it would poke a hole in the end of the filter, and be very quiet.
