Been watching all the original episodes on netflix.

I started at season 1 episode 1.  Loved it when I was a kid.. and I am not going to lie I am rather enjoying it as an adult.  It has been a while since I have seen or watched an episode, but I decided to relive my childhood and started watching them.

I just shut my brain off, and enjoy it for what it is!

Actually most of the season one and two episodes are all m-16a1's along with hannibals m-60.

but in one of the last few episodes I saw a g3, ar-180, and a galil possibly.  Along with a whole bunch of crappy bang-jam subguns.  And of course lots of 1911's!!

Only way to watch it. Loved it as a kid, haven't seen an old episode in a long time. I would love to have some of that bullet proof corrugated tin roofing....

I distinctly recall nobody ever getting killed during that series.  People always walked away from the fight.

That's probably because they couldn't hit shit with those Ruger rifles.

yeah.. that is the one unique thing.. but shows did revolve around people getting shot.. BA took a 50 cal to the leg leading into one episode, but he was already shot as the story started.

If the A-team is to be believed, the mini 14 is a very inaccurate gun, but when you do hit what you are aiming at, it will cause the vehicle to flip.

I actually own seasons 1-3 on DVD.  Haven't watched in a while, but I might have to put on an episode tomorrow due to this thread.

I pity the fool that doesn't like the (original) A-Team.

The movie sucked.

It was in one of the earlier episodes, "Mexican Slayride", where the A-Team got their Ruger AC556s.  They stole them from some criminal overlord in the process.  I have all but the fifth season on DVD.

Didn't they also have a M-60 Hannibal called "Baby"? It was kept in a hidden compartment in back of the van?

I'm humming the theme to that show right now.

Now that I've mentioned it, I'll bet I'm not the only one.

There were actually several deaths portrayed on the show, although most people survived.  Hannibal killed a VC captain in the episode "The Sound of Thunder", and General Hunt Stockwell (played by Robert Vaughn) died in the same episode.  BA got shot once, as did Murdock and Face (in separate episodes).  Unfortunately the vast majority of the show was heavily censored so most folks didn't end up dying from their wounds or car crashes.

IIRC Murdoch got shot in one episode.

Great show, when you are kid you don't care that there is no muzzle flash from the mini-14's, or that it is perfectly acceptable to use cardboard boxes for cover and concealment because it is obvious that rifle rounds can't penetrate a large square object.

I remember one episode where they had a helicopter dogfight.
The enemy copter crashed into a cliff and exploded, the wreckage falling to the ground.

I thought "Holy crap! They actually killed some people!!!!"
Nope.

They showed a scene of the crew crawling out of the burning wreckage.

I actually thought they did a good job on the movie. Not great, but it captured the spirit of the show.

Wow, I never caught Dirk Benedict joking at the Cylon in the opening credits before.  I did watch the original BG too, but at 5 years old, only for the space battles.

It's like watching an old GI Joe cartoon.

I love little things like that.. when they reference another show an actor was in just as a joke.

It's been running on the Centric Channel on DirecTV for a few months.

It's nice taking a stroll down memory lane..

Local channel around here used to play them regularly. Every night at 6 pm. All 3 of my kids have seen nearly every episode of the original series. Loved that show as a kid, and I didn't think the movie was all that bad. Not great by any means, but watchable for sure.

ETA: The theme is one of the ringtones on my phone, and the reason for my screen name.
